The Plough is probably the most famous Pub in England, situated just outside of Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire near Chequers, the country seat of British Prime Ministers.

Although Cadsden is just a tiny hamlet with few residents, The Plough is very popular with visitors from all over the world and is highly regarded for its no nonsense fare, of good honest food, plenty of it and at sensible prices.

Our spacious dining room is perfect for getting together with a few friends, or for a relaxing family meal.

Social distancing measures are in place, though have little effect on our customer’s dining experience.

Service will be at your table and bookings, wherever possible, should be made in advance, to avoid disappointment.

Overnight Guests

We are pleased to announce that our bed and breakfast accommodation is now accepting bookings.

All rooms are equipped with En-suite, television, WiFi and coffee and tea making facilities. Additionally, residents are able to eat breakfast in the dedicated guest dining room.

Delightful Location

The Plough is the only pub that actually stands on The Ridgeway, an ancient trackway described as Britain’s oldest road.

The Ridgeway actually passes right outside our front door, causing the pub to be a prominent stopping point for ramblers and walkers walking between Wendover and Princes Risborough.
